love breathes
             and makes floating
                           possible

Dana DeFranco is a writer and educator in the San Francisco Bay Area. Originally from New Jersey, Dana was born in Paterson and grew up in Passaic County. Her work explores the ways in which our humanity is both fragmented and healed within the everyday. Dana’s poetry has been featured in many literary journals and magazines including The Ana and BarBar. Her chapbook, Blends and Bends, was published by Bottlecap Press. Dana holds an MFA in Creative Writing: Poetry from Mills College in Oakland. Her book of poetry, Place in Space, will be published in October 2024 by Spuyten Duyvil.
