Our Story
Boston-based writer, artist, and librarian Meia Geddes founded Poetose, publishing her own two books, Love Letters to the World and The Little Queen — illustrated by artist Sara Zieve Miller — under the imprint.
She loves discovering new artists, writers, and entrepreneurs, and enjoys applying her experience in the world of books to bringing others' voices to the world.
Some things Meia loves: beauty, lyricism, the miniature, animals, birds, trees and the natural world, anything bookish including books about books, hybrid works, authenticity, and projects that come from a place of love.
In working with authors and artists, Meia values close collaboration to ensure the birthing of something beautiful.
Poetose is a traditional press in that we pay an advance and royalties for chapbooks and books we choose to publish, and cover all costs associated with publication.
